Prolis employs 4 types of Reference Ranges, a test result is evaluated against when the result is either entered
manually or is transferred through the interface from an analyzer and applied. The evaluation outcome appears
as a Flag in front of the result. The evaluation is performed in the following order.
Client Custom Ranges
Prolis enables the laboratory maintain its each client with the client's specific ranges, basing on the age and gender.
If the system possesses the range setup for the client, for the test, the result of which is being evaluated, Prolis
will use it and stop the evaluation process. It is the priority# 1 range type.
The range format is as follows'
Test ID Age From Age To Gender Value From Value To Flag Behavior
1115 0 6 Male 0 8.50 Very Low Panic
1115 0 6 Female 0 6.80 Very Low Panic
1115 7 18 Male 8.51 19.19 Low Caution
1115 7 18 Female 6.81 18.00 Low Caution
748 0 130 Male Non-Reactive Non-Reactive Normal Ignore
748 0 130 Male Reactive Reactive Abnormal Panic
748 0 130 Female Non-Reactive Non-Reactive Normal Ignore
748 0 130 Female Reactive Reactive Abnormal Caution
-------------------
This range type accommodates both qualitative and quantitative tests.
Use these ranges thoughtfully, covering the entire range from lowest to highest and the age from 0 to 130 years.
AG System Ranges
This age and gender based range can be maintained for a quantitative test.
If the system possesses the AG range for the test, the result of which is being evaluated, Prolis will use it and stop the evaluation process. It is the priority# 2 range type.
The range format is as follows'
Age From Age To Gender Value From Value To Flag Behavior
0 6 Male 0 8.50 Very Low Panic
0 6 Female 0 6.80 Very Low Panic
7 18 Male 8.51 19.19 Low Caution
7 18 Female 6.81 18.00 Low Caution
-------------------
-------------------
Use these ranges thoughtfully, covering the entire range from lowest to highest and the age from 0 to 130 years.
N System Ranges
This numerical range can be maintained for a quantitative test.
If the system possesses the this range for the test, the result of which is being evaluated, Prolis will use it and stop the evaluation process. It is the priority# 3 range type.
The range format is as follows'
Value From Value To Flag Behavior
0 8.50 Very Low Panic
8.51 19.19 Low Caution
19.20 60.60 Normal Ignore
60.61 105.10 High Caution
105.11 50000.00 Very High Panic
C System Ranges
This Choice based range can be maintained for a qualitative test.
If the system possesses this range for the test, the result of which is being evaluated, Prolis will use it and stop the evaluation process. It is the priority# 2 range type.
The range format is as follows'
Choice Flag Behavior
Negative Normal Ignore
Positive Abnormal Caution
Detected Critical Panic
Note: Panic behavior issues alerts within Prolis, executing some routines for compliance.
